Anantapur: The Guntakal railway division and railway station will get more infrastructural works and upgraded facilities.
Rajen Gohain, railway minister of state will dedicate a host of infrastructural works and passenger amenities at Guntakal railway station in the district on Thursday.
An official release said that the railways minister of state Rajen Gohain will dedicate a host of infrastructural works and passenger facilities at a function to be held at Guntakal.
About six infrastructural works and passenger facilities will be inaugurated at Guntakal raiway station by the minister.
Electrification of the Guntakal-Nallapadu section and the Guntakal-Kalluru section, double line between Gullapa-lyamu and Khadarpet stations, a new railway station building at Gun-takal, free high-speed Wi-Fi facility at Guntakal, Anantapur, Kadapa and Kurnool city railway stations and lift on platform No. 1 at Kadapa railway station (via remote video link) are the part of the inauguration and dedication to the nation, South Central Railway authorities said.
Electrification works between Guntakal-Nalla-padu, Guntakal –Kallur will help to extend trains to run with electrified lines. Doubling of line between Gullapalyam-Khadarpet stations will help to reduce traffic between Anantapur and Guntakal stations.
