Hyderabad: Teen suffers back pain, doc finds a bullet
Hyderabad: Doctors of the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) found a country-made bullet lodged in the back of a woman patient while they were examining her for back pain.
Doctors removed the bullet and informed the Punjagutta police. The patient was identified as Asma Begum, 19, a resident of Jahanuma, Falaknuma. She had been consulting with doctors for two months.
Punjagutta sub-inspector D. Nagaraju said, “The doctors told her to take an X-ray and she came back with one. When they examined it, doctors found a country-made bullet of 1 mm near her spinal cord. On Saturday evening they operated on her and removed the bullet. She was discharged and doctors informed the police about the issue on Sunday.”
The Panjagutta police booked a case of attempt to murder and under the Arms act. Doctors told the police that the injury appeared to be more than a year old.
