Hyderabad: The SHE teams of Rachakonda and two women and child counselling centres have played a major role in improving the safety of women.
The SHE teams have solved major cases and prevented 46 child marriages. Through decoy operations the SHE teams found sex determination centers and arrested the culprits.
A total of 516 cases were booked including 299 FIR’s filed and 217 petty cases. There are around 46 minor and 617 major eve teasers who were booked.
The SHE teams are working towards protection of child marriages apart from prevention of eve teasing. So far, 46 child marriages have been stopped and parents of bride and bride groom counselled.
Mahesh Bhagwat said, “One child marriage victim went on to represent Telangana state in the inter-state cricket tournament.”
“SHE teams also conducted decoy operations and found sex determination centres at Diagnostic centers/Hospitals and registered cases and arrested the accused.
Five qualified MBBS doctors from three multi speciality hospitals at Uppal,Medipally and choutuppal” added the official.
