Property recovery rate increases in Rachakonda.

Hyderabad: In this year, more than 50 per cent of the cases were detected and around 62 per cent property was recovered under the Rachakonda police commissionerate limits. Out of 2,677 crime cases reported in Rachakonda, 1,456 cases were detected and Rs 13,02,66,620 worth property was recovered out of Rs 20,91,73,031 lost by citizens.

When compared to last year there was a 15 per cent increase in the property recovered. The conviction rate has also increased to 29 per cent. In 2018 in Rachakonda commissionerate, 12,263 cases were disposed in various courts. Rachakonda commissioner Mahesh Bhagwat said, “We have been very successful in crime detection, prevention and conviction. Out of 12,263 cases, 3,496 people were convicted including 12 life imprisonments. As many as 3,526 were acquitted. Everyday there was at least one conviction. Our prosecution and investigating officers have helped achieve this.”

One of the important cases the Rachakonda police cracked was the beheading of the three-month-old infant in February 2018.

Rachakonda police arrested one K. Rajashekar, 40, and his wife, Srilatha, 35, for murdering a baby and throwing away the body into the Musi river.

The baby's head was lying on the south-west corner of the terrace of Rajashekar residence. "A blood stain was found on the floor of the culprits house on February 9, which was collected by the Clues team and was sent for analysis. The test results confirmed that the blood stains found inside the house were matching with that on the terrace," the Mahesh Bhagwat official said. Rajashekar was then grilled about the case once again with the latest discovery of blood samples and he confessed of murdering the baby as a part of 'Kshudra Puja'.

Pahadi Shareef were father raped his daughter and impregnated her. Life imprisonment was issued on the same. The enforcement has increased throughout Rachakonda. Suneetha Kunchala Judge of Special court dealing with Protection of Children from sexual offences cases awarded life imprisonment to the culprit father. The 16 year old victim girl delivered a baby in 2017 and the DNA of the baby matched the accused.
