Hyderabad: One of the major changes to be made in the upcoming year by the Rachakonda Commissionerate would be shifting the commissioner’s office to Neredmet from LB Nagar.

Creche for women police employees’ children will also be made available and traffic signals will be installed from Bhongir and connect all mandals to their district headquarters, said Rachakonda police commissioner, Mahesh Bhagwat.

“We will be also inaugurating CCS, SOT buildings at Jawaharnagar and Bhagat Singhnagar, Medipally police station comp office LB Nagar, ACP Vanasthalipuram office and foundation stone of Uppal Traffic police station,” the commissioner said.

A fourth batch will be made for ‘She for her’ initiative, whose motive is to create a safer environment for girl students inside the college. Two senior girl students are selected from each college and they are undergo the orientation training and empowered with awareness of Laws & Acts for Crime Against Women.

The fifth batch will be launched of Margadarshak program, whose role is to develop resources within every company at Rachakonda who would guide women employees on the process of seeking basic police and legal support when required. The Margadarshaks are actively connected and work with police on women’s safety matters that have come to their attention.
