Costly liquor in Andhra Pradesh from today as excise goes up

The state government issued G.O. MS No. 471 dated 22-11-2019.

Vijayawada: The state government has decided to levy additional retail excise tax on issue price of Indian made foreign liquor, foreign liquor, beer, wine and ready to drink varieties supplied by the wholesale IMFL depots to the licencees of bars at flat rate with effect from Saturday in the state.

The state government issued G.O. MS No. 471 dated 22-11-2019. Accordingly, IMFL flat rate includes: Rs 30 for 60/90 ml, Rs 60 for 180 ml, Rs 120 for 375 ml, Rs 240 for 750 ml, Rs 300 for 1,000 ml and Rs 750 for 2,000 ml. Foreign liquor flat rate includes: Rs 30 for 50/60 ml, Rs 60 for 200/275 ml, Rs 120 for 330 to 500 ml, Rs 240 for 700/750 ml and Rs 750 for 1,500/2,000 ml.

Beer of all ranges flat rate includes: Rs 30 for 330 ml, Rs 30 for 500 ml, Rs 60 for 650 ml, Rs 3,000 for 30,000 ml and Rs 6,000 for 50,000 ml.

Ready to drink all ranges flat rate includes Rs 60 for 250/275 ml.
