Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy assures quacks his complete support
KURNOOL: YSRC Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday assured quacks and non-medical professionals like RMPs that he would help them practice, if his government came to power in 2019. He was speaking to a group of RMPs who called on him during his padayatra and sought his help in streamlining their medical experience and allow them to practice medicine. The medical practitioners submitted a petition highlighting Mr Chandrababu Naidu's negligence towards rural healthcare
During the meeting, they recollected how former AP Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy had started a training programme for private medical practitioners in 2008 and gradually offered training to nearly 48,000 practitioners by 2011. But, due to the death of YSR, it was stopped. The medical practitioners highlighted that rural/private medical practitioners were playing an important role by providing first aid to people in rural areas and training them would help offer quality treatment.
While thanking the opposition leader for raising the grievances of 104 and 108 employees, the doctors also appealed that Mr Reddy address the problem faced by rural healthcare employees as soon as he becomes the Chief Minister. Mr Reddy thanked them for trusting him and sharing their grievances. Mr Reddy reaffirmed that health, education and agriculture will be his top priority. The Praja Sankalpa Yatra of the YSRC chief crossed the 200 km mark on Wednesday when Mr Reddy entered Muddavaram village in Dhone constituency. To mark the occasion, Mr Reddy hoisted the party flag at Muddavaram.
On Wedsnesday, Mr Reddy covered Muddavaram, Marrikunta Crossroad, Venkatagiri, Barapuram Cross Road and Pendekal. He entered Pattikonda constituency in the evening. Mr Reddy crossed the 100 km mark on November 14 as he stepped into Chagalamarri in Kurnool. To mark the first 100 km of his yatra, Mr Reddy hoisted the party flag at Godagunuru. The Praja Sankalpa Yatra began on November 6 from Idupulapaya and would end at Ichchapuram in Srikakulam after covering a total distance of 3000 km.
Jagan logs 200 Km in 2 weeks:
Jagan crossed the 200 Km mark in his ambitious 3,000 Km Praja Sankalpa Yatra which is aimed at helping him become the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
This feat was done by Jagan on Wednesday at Muddavaram village in Dhone of Kurnool district. “A sapling was planted to mark the occasion,” said Buggana Rajender Reddy, public accounts committee chairman.
When asked to throw light into how Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy is carrying on with the padayatra, he said, “The typical regimen of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy goes like this - He gets up at 4:30 am, exercises until 6 :30 am before reading the Bible and getting ready to receive leaders. After meeting leaders for breakfast he gets ready for the Yatra by 8:30 am,” Mr Buggana Rajendra Reddy said. “For breakfast Jagan normally has fruits, milk and juice. Since he is walking through the mining belt he faces issues with dust and drinks coconut water to quench his thirst,” he added.
Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy takes a lunch break between 1 and 2 pm. He normally eats rice, two rotis, lentil soup, fruits and butter milk. The afternoon session goes on from 3 pm till 5 pm. Depending on his schedule for the day, chances of it being stretched are high, he said. For dinner too, he repeats the same regimen. He takes more liquids than solids and retires for the day at 10:30 pm.
