Vijayawada: The sudden entry of MRPS cadre into the Secretariat area shocked the police. At least 30 members of MRPS have planned to stage protest at the Secretariat. They have been hiding in a house at Malkapuram village. Since morning, they have gathered at the house. In the afternoon, suddenly, they came out and tried to head towards the Secretariat.
The demand for classification of SCs has been pending since long and the MRPS has been agitating for it. They faulted Mr. Chandrababu Naidu for not looking into the issue of reservation. Seeing the MRPS men, police swung into action and shifted them to Mangalagiri police station. The police, who have received complaints from the Assembly Speaker for stopping MLAs at Karakatta, had been extra careful with MRPS men.
