Uttam Kumar Reddy vows dole for the unemployed
Hyderabad: TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy had said statehood had became a reality only due to struggle and sacrifices of the student community. Speaking at the function where hundreds of students and youth joined the Congress in the presence of AICC secretary R.C. Kunthia and AICC SC cell chairman Koppula Raju, he said when the then united AP government wanted to take up recruitment drives, the students JAC had insisted on Telangana statehood.
After the state formation, Chief Minister. K. Chandrasekhar Rao had ignored all these. He said by delaying fee reimbursement and scholarships, the government had caused mental agony for lakhs of students and their families. He said Congress after coming to power in 2019 would create new jobs and give a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 to jobless youth. PCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka recalled the role played by the students of Osmania University in Telangana movement.
