Hyderabad: Locals of Nallamala forest stumbled upon human skeletons at the Akkanna caves, and informed the police. They suspected that the victims were sacrificed.
Based on information received from the locals, Ambrabad circle inspector Ramesh Kothwal along with his team and staff from the forest department on Wednesday visited the place located at a remote area in the forests
While locals claimed that there were skeletons of five persons including children and women and puja material, police said they saw a human skull and a few bones and no traces of any worship.
Mr Kothwal said that it was a remote area and pilgrims especially from Karnataka visit it rarely. The remains have been sent for forensics tests to Hyderabad.
