Hyderabad Global Entrepreneurship Summit will boost innovation, job opportunities
Hyderabad: Hyderabad is not just a venue of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit; it is the first time such a giant delegation of out-of-the-box thinkers has gathered in South Asia.
“This summit is being organised at a time when the relationship between India and the US is steady; apart from being a ground for networking and investments, this will build a sturdy foundation of economic cooperation and there will be a focus on avenues of expansion into the Indian soil. The summit will boost innovation, expanding job opportunities and finding new ways to strengthen both of the economies,” said a senior officer from the National Institution for Transforming India, GOI.
Around 300 international investors, 1,500 delegates, mostly women, and investors looking to purchase ideas mainly from the field of healthcare and life sciences, digital and financial technology, energy and infrastructure and media and entertainment are expected to attend. This is estimated to be around up a million dollar virtual business in the long run.
The summit will also improve Hyderabad's stature in the world start-up ecosystem and as a catalyst promoting entrepreneurs.
“Around Rs 8 crore from the TS Industries promoting budget has been allocated for the GES. The government is paying for the HICC venue, dinner at Golconda on November 29 (evening), transport and hospitality facilities for the 1,500 delegates. The expenditure will be claimed from The National Institution for Transforming India, GOI, who are the organisers. The dinner at the Falaknuma is sponsored by NITI Aayog,” said an officer from the TS industries department.
On the final day, the industrial growth of the state will be the focus. TS has approved 5,370 industries, building up investment of Rs 1,12,439 crore in a span of three years since its formation. The total employment generated by these industries is estimated to be Rs 4,03,448.
During his speech on the inauguration day, the Chief Minister of Telangana is expected to speak about the industrial growth of the state and especially his pet project, the Telangana State Industrial Project Approval & Self-certification System (TS- iPASS), which enables ease of doing business and effective clearance system for investors.
