Hyderabad: Clear sky causing cooler nights, days to stay warm

Hyderabad: The minimum temperature dropped to 16.5ºC Celsius on Friday, the lowest recorded in six years in October. Weather officials said Hyderabad was experiencing warmer days and cooler nights due to clear skies.
The normal minimum in October is 20ºC. The normal maximum is 31ºC, but because of the clear skies the day temperature is up by 3ºC above normal. The highest temperature so far this month was 34ºC.
IMD Hyderabad director Y.K. Reddy, said, “Since we are slowly advancing towards winter, the night temperatures will gradually reduce. Because of clear skies the ground radiation transmits into the sky and the temperature on the ground drops.” The lowest temperature recorded across the state was 15ºC in Medak, on Friday.
