Krishnagiri: D Imman to help visually disabled
Krishnagiri: Appreciation accumulated on social media for music composer D. Imman following his tweet to make a visually disabled youth sing a song in his next movie.
“Thanks one ‘n all for sharing the contact; talked to the concerned person. Will rope him for a song soon. May god be with him and comfort him. Happy days ahead for Thirumoorthy. Praise god,” was the tweet of film music composer Immam.
The 21-year-old T. Thirumoorthy of Noocipatti village near Uthangarai in Krishnagiri was busy meeting visitors who came to his small thatched house after music director D. Imman promised him of giving him a chance in his next new movie. Thirumoorthy, son of a farm hand and blind by birth has studied till first standard.
The youth who was sent out of school due to his visually impaired status developed his talent in music. His initiative was supported by his niece who bought him a keyboard and other musical instruments and also spends time for his composing activity. So far, he has composed one folk album with ten songs.
A song, pathu maasam ennai sumanthu pethu edutha amma (mother, you carried me for ten months before giving birth to me) and sung by him has gone viral on social media.
The music composer who heard his album was impressed by his talent and has come forward to introduce him as a singer in his next movie.
