Hyderabad: Following a quarrel with her husband on Friday, a 26-year-old housewife committed suicide by hanging. A case has been registered at the Balanagar police station.
The police has identified the victim as A. Hema. According to the police, the victim wanted to shift to their new house which was constructed at Nizampet. She had requested her husband Laxman Rao, who was an Air Force employee, to shift to their new house on Friday morning. An altercation broke out between the two regarding this, leading to her suicide.
Sub-inspector of police Balanagar, Mr Ravi Kiran, said, “She asked her husband to bring biryani and subsequently her husband accompanied with their two children went out to bring biryani.” After reaching home when he knocked on the door, there was no response. When Mr Rao peeped through the window, he saw his wife hanging.
He immediately reached out to the neighbours and broke open the door and shifted her to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Police reached the spot and shifted the body to Gandhi hospital for postmortem. The police have registered the case under section 174 CrPC and further investigation is underway.
