Hyderabad: A two-year-old baby accidentally fell into a water sump at a building under construction in Medipally on Wednesday. She died on Saturday after undergoing treatment for two days. The police have identified the victim as Anasuya.
According to the police, the baby was playing in front of a building under construction while her parents, both construction labourers, were working at the site. Medipally sub-inspector of police Naveen Kumar, said, “The baby accidentally fell into a water sump on Wednesday afternoon . The construction workers noticed the baby after some time and immediately called 100 and shifted her to a nearby private hospital.” The police reached the spot soon after they got the call.
A case was registered under Section 174 CrPC in Medipally police station. The police handed over the body to the family after a post-mortem at Gandhi Hospital.
