All 3 MLAs in touch with me, says H D Kumaraswamy
Chikkamagluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Saturday that Congress legislators, who were rumoured to be heading to Mumbai via Chennai to meet a BJP leader there, were in fact, in touch with him. “The MLAs, MTB Nagaraj, and Dr Sudhakar (of the Congress) and Nagesh (independent) are in touch with me,” he told reporters here, while taking a dig at the BJP for “falling at the feet of Congress MLAs” to topple the coalition government in the state when not so long ago it was talking of a “Congress-mukth Bharath.”
"BJP leaders are so desperate that they are pursuing Congress leaders to persuade them to resign from their party,” he told reporters here. Mocking BJP state chief, B S Yeddyurappa, Mr Kumaraswamy said although he had on several occasions promised to give the people some “good news” all his deadlines had expired with nothing acheived. "The many dates he has set to take oath as Chief Minister have come and gone," he added, calling the BJP leader, “a man in a hurry.”
Asked about some television channels claiming his government had only a short time left, Mr Kumaraswamy retorted that he could not be bothered about them counting the hours to his government’s doom. “The government is safe,” he emphasised. On Congress MLAs warring in Belagavi, the Chief Minister claimed there were only minor differences between two leaders of the district, and nothing more serious.
