Srisailam dam just 20 feet from filling up
Inflows into Srisailam may continue up to September 25 unless there are fresh rains.
Hyderabad: The four major reservoirs on the Krishna recorded six-digit in-flows, ranging between 1 lakh cusecs and 1.75 lakh cusecs, on Friday due to heavy rain in the Mahabaleshwar region of Maharashtra and the catchment areas of the Krishna and Bheema rivers. Inflows into Srisailam may continue up to September 25 unless there are fresh rains.
On Friday, water at the Srisailam reservoir stood at 863.5 feet against the full reservoir level of 885 feet. The dam had 120 tmc ft water against its full capacity of 215 tmc ft.
