Chennai: Disaster prone cities need a strong infrastructure to combat the trauma undergone physically and mentally after a natural disaster. Health experts from Baylor College of Medicine are developing mobile healthcare solutions to provide overall health care infrastructure required in Chennai especially post disasters.
The current project will also provide for medical training for healthcare workers in the city in collaboration with the hospitals in Chennai. Smartpod will also include isolation units, pharmacy, surgical units and a testing lab along with clinics.
