T Harish Rao seeks Rs 25 lakh a village, K Chandrasekhar Rao gives Rs 50 lakh
Hyderabad: TRS legislator and former minister T. Harish Rao was active during Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s visit to his native village Chintamadaka on Monday and succeeded in persuading him to grant Rs 50 lakh to each of the 81 villages in his constituency of Siddipet as a special development fund.
In his welcome speech at the public meeting in the village, Mr Harish Rao placed the requests of the villagers with regard to connecting roads to other villages and restoration of the Shiva temple. He requested the Chief Minister to grant funds to other villages in the district.
Stating that there are 85 villages in the district and the Chief Minister had already taken care of his birth place Chintamadaka and there were two mandal headquarters and Siddipet town, he requested the Chief Minister to grant Rs 25 lakh each to the remaining 81 villages.
Reacting to the request, the Chief Minister complimented him for being a “good MLA” and announced sanction of Rs 50 lakh to each village.
Mr Chandrasekhar Rao also announced sanction of Rs 25 crore to Siddipet, Rs 5 crore for development of Rangarayasagar lake in Siddipet as a tourism spot and Rs 10 crore for Dubbak.
