Hyderabad: A farmer approached the SHRC against the Rachakonda police for forcing him to sell his two acres of agricultural land to his brother.

Complainant P. Venkataiah said his grandfather had purchased acres of agricultural land which was inherited by his descendants. “My brother P. Madhu Mohan at Yacharam took his side and started threatening me to sell the land,” he said.

“When I refused, sub-inspector Venkataiah physically and verbally abused me. Police even forced me to sign on a bond paper agreeing to sell the land to my brother,” Mr P. Venkataiah alleged. He requested the SRHC to intervene in the issue.
