Amarnath Yatra crosses 2.7 lakh mark
A spokesman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board said till Monday evening as many as 285,381 devotees had darshan of Shivling.
Srinagar: With more than thirteen thousand pilgrims paying obeisance at Amarnath on Monday, the annual yatra to the revered cave-shrine at a height of 3,888 metres in Kashmir Himalayas has crossed last year’s total mark of 2.85 lakh arrivals. A spokesman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board said till Monday evening as many as 285,381 devotees had darshan of Shivling.
“During last year’s yatra spread over 60 days, total number of pilgrims who visited holy cave-shrine was 2,85,006, while this year it has crossed this number in just 22 days”.
