Telangana has become an orphan: Kodandaram

The TJS chief accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of bringing family rule in the state.

Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samiti president Prof. Kodandaram on Sunday said the state has become an orphan in Delhi due to the inefficiency of the TRS government.

He said the TRS had failed to garner the support of any party at national level or in Parliament to secure fulfilment of pending bifurcation-related promises.

Recalling the statehood agitation, Prof. Kodandaram said the Telangana Join Action Committee could build solid support at the national level which exerted pressure on the Centre to concede a separate state. “After four years, the TRS has failed to bring any such impact at the national level. Today, Telangana state has become an orphan in Delhi. No party extends support to Telangana. TRS MPs too failed to fight for the issues concerning the state in the Lok Sabha during the no-confidence motion,” he said.

The TJS chief accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of bringing family rule in the state. “People are vexed with TRS for not fulfilling their aspirations for which they fought for decades. KCR’s family members have benefited while students and youth who sacrificed their lives got nothing,” he added.
