Jishnu's kin to meet Senkumar
Kozhikode: Jishnu Pranoy’s father Ashokan and other close relatives will call on DGP T.P. Senkumar on Wednesday and appraise their concern over not nabbing the culprits behind his "murder" even after six months.
“We suspect foul play in converting it into a case of suicide. All had attempted to derail the case from the beginning,” Mr Ashokan told reporters on Monday.
He added that Jishnu's family has better expectations on Senkumar.
They were asked to meet DGP on Wednesday at 10 am. However, Jishnu’s mother Mahija is not accompanying them as she is not well.
The protest of Ms Mahija and others in front of the DGP office when Loknath Behera was in charge had courted a controversy putting the government in the dock. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan not visiting her also earned criticism.
The student at the Nehru College of Engineering at Pampady belonged to a CPM family in Valayam near Nadapuram, and the issue had its reverberations in the party also.
