Heatwave likely to continue till May 25 in Telangana

Heat wave conditions prevailed in isolated places in the districts of Karimnagar and Warangal.

Hyderabad: There is no relief for Telangana on the weather front as the heat wave will continue till May 25. For coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalseema, there is hope for a change in weather as the met has announced a thunderstorm alert for AP.

On Monday Telangana recorded remarkably high temperatures. Heat wave conditions prevailed in isolated places in the districts of Karimnagar and Warangal. The highest recorded temperature was at Ramagundam and Hanamkonda — 45 degrees, followed by 44 degrees at Nizamabad. Hyderabad stood at 42 degrees on Monday. Light rainfall was recorded in some parts of the state like Manuguru, Konijerla and Bonakal of Khammam and at Kampasagar.

Rain occurred in parts of Coastal Andhra and Rayalseema like Narasaraopet, Atchampet, Sattenapalle of Guntur, Nandigama of Krishna district and Santhamaguluru of Prakasam.
