Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police has taken up the initiative for the well being of its staff controlling traffic movement on the roads by offering them cooling vests to cope up with the intense summer heat.
“This jacket keeps the body temperature between 6 to 12 degrees celsius lower than the ambient temperature for about 3-5 hours, depending on the humidity in the environment,” said the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Hyderabad, Dr. V. Ravinder.
“The product is very simple to use. The vest keeps the wearer dry even after dipping it in water while it also keeps the wearer warm in winter as the product can be used without dipping in water. It has a wide range of health benefits such as maintaining normal body temperature under extreme heat conditions. It neutralises the effect of outside core temperature. It keeps the heart beats in control while reducing dehydration. It boosts the tolerance level and keeps the feeling of exertion in check,” added Dr. Ravinder.
Asian Nephrology has provided the Hyzesst cooling relief to the traffic police. The cooling vests were handed over to Hyderabad Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mahender Reddy by Dr. Mallikarjuna C on May 16 at the Police Commissioner’s office.
