Vijayawada: An Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE) officer, P. Srinivas, has taken charge as the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Vijayawada division, here on Monday.
Mr. Srinivas joined Indian Railways in 1990 and worked in various capacities in many divisions of the South Central Railway along with the headquarters offices of SCR.
He also worked on deputation in Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. as chief project manager (Co-ord) at Secunderabad. As part of his duty, he visited several countries such as France, China, Malaysia, Singapore and U.S.A.
Earlier, DRM R. Dhanun-jayulu handed over the charge to Mr Srinivas. On this occasion, Mr. Dhanunjayulu explained Mr Srinivas about the Vijayawada division and about the earlier development works taken up and those in progress in the division from Duvvada to Gudur.
Mr Dhanunjayulu had taken overcharges as the DRM of Vijayawada on April 11, 2017, and worked for 2 years. Now, he is waiting for further orders from the Railway Board after being relieved as the DRM of Vijayawada. The new DRM stressed the need to provide quality services to the passengers.
