Kochi: The Suresh Kallada Travels on Monday came out with a clarification claiming that their staffers were actually assaulted by the passengers in their bus at Vyttila and Haripad.
A Facebook post from the bus operator said that after their bus broke down at Haripad and when an alternative bus was being arranged, three passengers abused and attacked the attender and driver of the bus. The attender was admitted to the Haripad Government Hospital.
The post said later when the alternative bus reached Vyttila to drop and pick up other passengers, the three persons barged into their Vytila office and abused and attacked the night shift staff.
It further said that when the other staff at Vyttila went inside the bus to offload the said three passengers, they resisted the move and their staff had to use force during which time a video was shot, (which has since become viral). Later the local police from Maradu arrived and the three were handed over to the police, the post said.
The operator said that they have suspended the three staff members found manhandling the passengers in the video.
