MoU signed between Unicef and ASCI

Joshi said the Unicef and the ASCI would submit their workable plan related to education, health, security, hygiene of urban children within a week.

Hyderabad: On Monday, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between principal secretary (municipal administration and urban development) Arvind Kumar, ASCI director V. Srinivas Acharyalu and Unicef representative Dr Yasmin Ali Haque on ‘Child Development in Urban Areas’ in the presence of the chief secretary S.K. Joshi.

Appreciating the MoU, Mr Joshi said the Unicef and the ASCI would submit their workable plan related to education, health, security, hygiene of urban children within a week.

“Unicef has lots of experience and we will prepare the plan for the development of urban children in the country for the first time,” he said.

Importance should be given to the child-friendly agenda in the urban areas integrated development plan, he said.
