Hyderabad: Quthbullapur road works yet to finish
Hyderabad: Despite several assurances from the municipal administration and urban development minister K.T. Rama Rao, the GHMC authorities are yet to complete road repair works in Quthbullapur circle.
The corporation during January had decided to take road repair works at the cost of Rs 2.5 crore. The corporation received funds in March and is yet to complete the works.
Sapan Mahajan, a resident of Quthbullapur, through his twitter handle brought the road repair issue to the notice of KTR. Sapan Mahajan tweeted, “4 months are over after requesting for new road. But nothing has been done.”
Reacting to the grievance through his twitter handle, KTR asked an explanation from the GHMC authorities for the delay in works. Replying to his tweet, KTR asked, “Is there any particular reason why this roadwork has not started inspite of your repeated assurances @DC_Quthbullapur? @CommissionrGHMC @zcnz_ghmc @GHMCOnline.”
In reply to KTR’s tweet, Quthbullapur deputy commissioner N. Sudamsh said that the corporation has already completed works worth Rs 2.5 crore from Bujanga theatre to Jeedimetla X roads. He said the remaining work will be completed in two days.
