Hyderabad: Thirty-year-old Ratnamala from Mahbubnagar died on Saturday evening after giving birth to a baby child at 12 noon at Nayapul maternity hospital at Petlaburj. With her death, the total number of maternal deaths in Telangana touched 11 in 2017.
Ratnamala was admitted to the hospital on Friday afternoon but during the delivery there were complications that led to multi-organ failure. A case has been registered at Charminar Police station. The relatives protested at the hospital for one hour after she was declared dead at 4.30 pm. They alleged that the senior doctors didn’t take proper care after delivery and no monitoring was carried out at the hospital.
