Hyderabad: Troubled with the news that his wife had lodged a police complaint against him alleging harassment, a 30-year-techie committed suicide in Saroor Nagar area. Police said that B. Vijay Kumar, 30, and a native of Warangal, hanged himself at his flat on Wednesday night.
Vijay working as a software engineer at a firm in Uppal. He married Ms Divya, also from Warangal, a year ago. But she had been staying with her parents despite repeated requests from Vijay to come home. A few days ago, he found out that Divya had lodged a complaint with the Warangal Police alleging dowry harassment her for more dowry. It’s suspected that news of the case may have pushed the techie to suicide. Police are investigating the case.
