Telangana Rashtra Samiti man builds on ‘non-existent land’

Narsimha Reddy building at Banjara Hills, Rd No. 12.

Hyderabad: The government’s response to an RTI query says that the Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s Nalgonda candidate, Vemireddy Narsimha Reddy, who represents the Kaushik Co-operative Building Society, has been constructing a building for which permission is not found in government records.

The alleged illegal construction is underway on a prime property in Banjara Hills Road No. 12, on Survey No 129/68 Paiki.

An RTI was filed at the Nampally collectorate seeking details of whether SY No. 129/68 exists in Banjara Hills, the extent of land in survey number 129/68, the owner of the land as per government records and the road number on which the land is located.

To these questions, the revenue department replied that such land ‘does not exist’ and as such the information sought for therein cannot be furnished’.

The RTI reply, the copy of which is in possession with Deccan Chronicle, states, “It is informed that as per the revenue records, i.e Pahanis of Shaikpet village the SY No. 129/68 Paiki does not exist, as such the information sought for therein cannot be furnished.”

The case dates back to 1963. According to a source, one Mohammed Moulana allegedly fabricated documents for Survey No. 129/68 paiki for 16 acres and nine guntas.

He entered into an agreement of sale with one V.R.K. Sastri. Sastri and Mohammed Moulana filed a specific performance suit and got the same decreed.
According to documents given to this newspaper, Sy No. 129/51 admeasuring six acres and 34 guntas belonged to Abdul Basit and Sy No. 129/52 of eight acres and 18 guntas belonged to Adbul Rub.

The persons claiming Sy No. 129/68 paiki assigned their rights to one Vemireddy Narsimha Reddy of Kaushik Co-operative Building Society.

It is alleged that Mr Narsimha Reddy with this assigned rights of Sy No. 129/68 paiki allegedly trespassed on to Sy No 129/51 and 129/52 situated on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

B. Prithi Raj Reddy, one of the agreement holders, said, “A case was filed before a civil court against Kaushik Co-opearative Building Society for trespass and encroachment. A case was also filed regarding the title for the suit schedule property. The matter was taken up in the Supreme Court which has given a ruling that Kaushik Co-operative Building Society is the owner of Sy No 129/68 paiki and not 129/51 and 129/52. However, the RTI revealed that Sy No. 129/68 paiki does not exist anywhere in Shaikpet village as per the government records.”
