ALAPPUZHA: After LDF, opposition UDF also held election convention in Chengannur. Inaugurating the meeting on Thursday, Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala predicted the by-poll outcome as an assessment of both Union and state governments.
He said the LDF government would open liquor outlets in every nook and corner of the state after the poll. He said the government had failed on all fronts. There's no development, and the state is going into a debt trap. "The law and order situation has worsened. In 23 months of the LDF rule, state witnessed 23 political murders," he said.
