Hyderabad: Report on group-II OMR sheets submitted
Hyderabad: The Advocates’ Commission which was constituted by the Hyderabad High Court to verify the OMR sheets of the 5,000 merit candidates for Group-II posts submitted its report to the court in a sealed cover on Thursday.
Justice P. Naveen Rao had constituted the advocates’ commission on February 28 while hearing a petition seeking to stay the Group-II recruitments in view of serious allegations of “bubbling” (overwriting) in answer sheets. The three advocates appointed to the commission were to verify the OMR sheets and submit a report before the court. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) had issued the notification on December 30, 2015, and supplementary notification on September 1, 2016 and conducted the written test.
Several candidates moved the court alleging that the TSPSC had accepted OMR sheets of candidates who had used whiteners and “bubbled” while filling their personal details, contrary to the conditions in the notification.
Justice Naveen Rao after receiving the report of the commission asked the commission to furnish copies of the report to advocates in the case by Friday and posted the matter for hearing on March 28.
