April 15 last date for CBSE direct entry
Thiruvananthapuram: CBSE has set April 15 as the last date for submitting the application for direct admission to Class X and XII in CBSE-affiliated schools in the state. This was announced by the regional office of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Thiruvananthapuram. Students who have done Class IX or XI from CBSE, ICSE, State Board, or equivalent courses or in foreign boards can take direct admission to Class X or XII. For the benefit families shifting from the Middle East and other foreign countries, a monitoring desk has been created to give expeditious reply, the regional office said. According to the official announcement, following documents must be supplied along with application: Reason or ground on which the parents sought admission with proof (original affidavit); valid proof of shifting of residence from one place to other place or present residential address proof (Copy of Aadhar, ration card, Passport, residential certificate etc.); Registration details (If already registered online with CBSE); progress report card; result of previous class indicating that candidate has passed (Marks on A-4 paper or school letter head will not be accepted) and school Transfer Certificate. Schools should forward the application to CBSE with forwarding letter of school clearly mentioning the justification.
