Rainfall likely in southern Tamil Nadu
Chennai: Southern parts of Tamil Nadu will witness moderate rainfall from Sunday to Wednesday while northern parts of the state will continue to remain hot and temperatures will soar by two to three degrees for the rest 15 to 20 days as predicted by weather bloggers and regional meteorological department.
According to Senthil Kumar, a kea blogger, Tirunelvelli, Kanyakumari district and southern coastal areas may experience moderate rainfall from coming Sunday to Wednesday. “For Chennai and other Northern parts it will remain hot and the temperature is going to increase by 2 to 3 degrees for the next 15 to 20 days,” he
said.
Northern districts such as Chennai, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai and Villupuram will continue to remain hot. The met department officials said relative humidity for coastal areas would be 90 to 100 per cent, while for interior parts of Tamil Nadu it will be 80 to 90 per cent. The average temperature would be more than 36 degree Celsius.
