Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Friday has stayed all further investigation and proceedings against Indian cricketer Amit Mishra in a lower court in connection with a physical assault case filed by a woman, which allegedly happened at a city hotel in September 2015.
The cricketer had filed a plea in the high court, seeking quashing of proceedings, and the FIR registered against him.
In her complaint the woman had claimed that she knew Mishra and the alleged incident took place at a hotel room where the cricketer was staying, when he came along with the Indian team for a training camp.
DKS plea adjourned
The High Court has adjourned the hearing of a petition filed by Karnataka Water Resources Minister D.K. Shivakumar challenging the prosecution launched against him by the Income Tax (I-T) Department for willful tax evasion and filing of false I-T statement, to March 7.
Outdoor signage
The High Court on Friday granted 10 more days of time to BBMP to finalise the draft of the outdoor signage and public messaging bylaws 2018.
A division bench headed by acting Chief Justice L Narayana Swamy was hearing a PIL seeking directions to remove illegal flexes and hoardings in the city.
The palike submitted that it will submit the draft to the state government within the next 10 days. It was not able to do so as the corporation was busy with the Budget council meetings.
BBMP also submitted that it had sent the clarifications pertaining to the draft as sought by the government.
