Hyderabad: There are 2.95 crore voters in Telangana state as on January 1, 2019, according to the final electoral rolls that TS chief electoral officer Rajat Kumar announced on Friday.
He said that of the total 2,95,18,964 voters in Telangana state, 1,48,42,619 were men, 1,46,74,977 women and 1,368 belonging to the third gender voters. There are 10,307 service voters, 1,122 NRIs and 4,69,030 persons with disability.
There are 5,99,933 voters between the ages of 18 and 19 years. Mr Kumar said they had received 26,23,853 claims and objections and 23,78,764 were accepted and 2,45,089 rejected.
