CRPF jawan from Jammu and Kashmir travelling to Hyderabad goes missing
Hyderabad: A CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) jawan from Jammu & Kashmir travelling to Hyderabad was reported missing by his commanding officer on Friday.
According to the Railway Police, a team of 14 men boarded the Telangana Express in Delhi on Tuesday to report to headquarters in Secunderabad. They were to join the newly raised 246 Battalion in Ranga Reddy district.
They travelled in different compartments. Saldeep Kumar was found to be missing when the train reached Secunderabad. A missing person case has been registered. Saldeep, 40, is a resident of Swankha village in Ramgarh, in the Samba district of Jammu & Kashmir. He was last seen wearing a blue tee-shirt and brown pants.
Secunderabad GRP Superintendent of Police G. Ashok Kumar said, “The team reached Secunderabad at 8:30 pm on Wednesday and Saldeep was missing. The team started searching at all possible places but in vain. Any information can be shared on 9908700054, 944627514 and 040-27700568.
They then went on to report for duty to their CRPF camp here and on Friday lodged a missing complaint with the Railway Police.”
The complaint was given by Arjun Dubey, the ASI of Party Commander Force of 246 Battalion, CRPF, who also alleged that Saldeep had a habit of consuming alcohol.
“We have verified about the alcohol part and we have requested all the Station House Officers of Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra states to verify the details of the man and also asked them to inform us if any suspicious body was found with any particulars tallying with that of Mr Kumar,” the official Mr Ashok Kumar said.
