TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will go paperless soon. More than 90 per cent of the departments have transformed to start E-Office. Only a few more are left. All sanctions and file processing are being done by E-Office application only. The case workers to the top most officials are digitally signing the files.
The TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal had successfully pushed the E-Office within four months. Transforming such a big organisation like TTD into paperless is an achievement by the EO of TTD. The process began in October, 2017. Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed the TTD officials to run the files in E-Office.
Following this, the EO implemented the same and started migrating the departments to E-Office. The migration started with not more than five departments and raised the number of departments every month. At present only a few departments are pending. By the end of March the TTD will completely be a paper less organisation. On an average TTD purchases more than 15,000 reams of papers every year that would cost around Rs 25 lakhs.
Speaking to DC, Mr Singhal expressed satisfaction on the E-Office. "I'm not having any physical files with me. There is a transparency in the work, I can track all the file positions. This will ensure speeding up the work, without any delay or missing of files. There will be transparency in the system". There are many uses of E-Office. One of them is that files cannot be delayed intentionally. There are many situations where a physical file has gone missing. With the electronic copy the responsibilities are fixed, top authorities can track the position any time and the movements are monitored. The management can also check the work load of employees and the files being generated by them periodically.
