Thrissur: CPM needs to consider reaching out more to believers who practice their religion and all the while taking a secular position, party polit bureau member M.A. Baby has said. “There are people who follow religion without being communal and party needs to take them to its fold by accepting such diversities in the concept of faith and belief,” he added
Mr Baby was speaking at the seminar held here on Thursday evening as part of 22nd state conference of the party. Literary critic M.K. Sanu who spoke at the seminar held on the topic Culture and Ideology said that the cultural activists had failed to convince the common lot about upholding the importance of reasoning over blind belief. Actor Mukesh, poets Balachandran Chullikkad and Engandiyur Chandrasekharan, writer Lalitha Lenin, minister K.T. Jaleel and singer Pushpavathy among others took part.
