Sushma Swaraj SOS to Parrikar: Save 25 Indians stranded off Aden
Swaraj appealed on Twitter after receiving an SOS from the Indian civilian “Chief Officerâ€of the vessel and his wife.
New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has sought the help of Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and the Indian Navy to evacuate Indians reportedly on board an Indian merchant vessel near Aden in strife-torn Yemen. Ms. Swaraj appealed on Twitter after receiving an SOS from the Indian civilian “Chief Officer” of the vessel and his wife who claimed they were stuck on the vessel along with 23 other Indians. Ms Swaraj also asked the Indian envoy in Islamabad for a report on an Indian who is reported to have been in in a Pakistani jail for more than 30 years.
