KOCHI: The Justice G Sivarajan Commission probing the solar scandal on Monday ordered key accused Saritha S Nair to be present before the commission on Wednesday . If not legal proceedings including issuance of an arrest warrant would be initiated.
The Commission ordered this when Saritha’s lawyer requested the Commission to put off for another two days the cross-examination of her by the Commission.
Saritha last appeared before the Commission on February 18 and has since been maintaining that she can’t be present before the Commission as she is indisposed.
Meanwhile, IG T. J. Jose admitted before the Commission that he took the phone call list of Saritha but it had been deleted. He said that if needed this can be traced back. He also said that the list was deleted as he had felt that the list would not be needed anymore in connection with the case he was probing.
He said that he had traced the call list in connection with the case pertaining to maligning of ministers on facebook.
He said he had traced the call list of one Lakshmi Nair and deleted it when it was found not useful. However, it was only later that he knew it belogned to Saritha.
