Hyderabad: 205 selected doctors still not appointed
Hyderabad: For the last four months, as many as 205 doctors have been selected, but not given appointment letter as there are allegations that some of them will take the government to court.
The order for filling these posts in the government hospitals was released in May 2018 and the selection process was initiated. But, after that, it has stalled and there is no progress.
Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association have raised the issue with the state government and wanted to know why appointment letters were not given to the selected candidates. The doctors are waiting and do not know when the government will recruit them.
A junior doctor on condition of anonymity said, “Despite being selected, we are forced to wait. It is not possible to take a full-time job and most of us are forced to take up part-time jobs in the hospitals.” The non-filling of the doctors posts in the hospitals is leading to under functioning and most patients are forced to get treated at private hospitals.
