Hyderabad: Special Operations Team officials of Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda, on Tuesday conducted raids along with Nacharam police and nabbed two persons who were allegedly running the brothel, and a customer and rescued two persons forced to work as sex workers.
Officials also seized Rs 300 in cash, cellphones and two condoms from their possession.
The arrested persons were identified as assistant organisers B. Renuka, 45, and A. Prasanna, 48, and customer G. Saikumar, 28, a resident of Chandragiri colony in Neredmet. Aruna, the main manager, is absconding.
Aruna used to run a brothel along with Renuka and Prasanna at a house in Nacharam for the past couple of months.
They would procure sex workers from various parts of the country and pay them salary. They collected Rs 2,000-3,000 from each customer.
“The organisers contacted customers by sending pictures of the women along with their phone numbers on Whatsapp,” an SOT official said.
“The rescued women will be produced before a court and the arrested people handed over to Nacharam police for necessary action.”
