Hyderabad: Poll panel retains 2l voters
Hyderabad: The recent revision of electoral rolls has retained the names of 2.07 lakh electors that were found to be deleted. The GHMC had taken up the massive exercise of re-verifying the list of 7,73,425 lakh deleted voters. After verification, it was found that out of 7.73 lakh names, only 5.82 lakh were correctly deleted.
Also, the voter list of transgenders in the city has been increased by 50. Hyderabad district election officer has stated that voters who could not approach the Electoral Registration Officer earlier can submit their claims and objections online on the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana state — ceo-telangana@eci.gov.in They can also submit their claims and objections to the ERO for updating of electoral rolls. The final rolls are available at the offices of all deputy commissioner offices in the GHMC.
