Kannur: Two country made bombs were hurled by some unidentified persons at a building attached to the CPI(M) area committee office at Thaliparambu in the district early on Monday, causing minor damage to the office building.

Police said the roof of the building and walls of KKN memorial hall attached to it were damaged.

The CPI(M) alleged that RSS-BJP workers were behind the attack.

CPI(M) District Secretary P Jayarajan visited the spot and party workers took out a protest demonstration in the area.

Kannur and some parts of the state have been witnessing clashes between CPI(M) and BJP workers after the May 16, 2016 assembly polls.

Location: India, Kerala
