Hirakhand express derailment: Trains cancelled, short terminated

The Vijayawada-Rayagada passenger was stopped at Vizag and the train which supposed to start from Rayagada was cancelled.

Visakhapatnam: Due to the derailment of Hirakhand express, several trains were diverted, short terminated or cancelled. At least seven trains were cancelled, another seven short terminated and around 10 trains were diverted via other stations. 13 buses we-re provided for the relief of stranded passengers to carry them to various short distance places like Brahmapur, Bhawanipatna.

Trains short terminated:
57271 Vijayawada-Rayaga-da Passenger will be short terminated at Vizag and will run as 57272 from Visakh-apatnam to Vijayawada.
58530 Visakhapatnam-Du-rg passenger that had commenced on January 21 from Visakhapatnam will be sho-rt terminated at Donkinvalasa.
58529 Durg-Visakhapatnam passenger that had sta-rted from Durg on Saturday was short terminated at Titilagarh and will run as 58530 from Titilagarh to Durg.
18517 Korba-Visakhapat-nam Express that had started from Korba will be short terminated at Rayagada.
58537 Koraput-Visakhapat-nam passenger which started on Sunday from Koraput will be short terminated at Rayagada and will run as 58538 from Rayagada to Koraput.
18447/18437 Bhubaneswar-Jagadapur-Jungarh Road Express which stated on Saturday from Bhubanes-war will be short terminated at Vizianagaram.
58527 Raipur-Visakhapatnam passenger that started on Sunday from Raipur will be short terminated at Titlagarh.
The Samata express and Nizamuddin express heading to Delhi via Rayagada were diverted through Vija-yawada route.

According to C.H. Suresh, the station master of Vijayawada junction, the Bokaro express which headed to Aleppi in Kerala from Dhanbad also diverted to Vijayawada route from Nagpur junction.

The Vijayawada-Rayagada passenger was st-opped at Vizag and the train which supposed to start from Rayagada was cancelled. The train that went up to Visakhapatnam will return to Vijayawada.
