HYDERABAD: Congress leader MP V. Hanumantha Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should follow his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar and prohibit liquor trade, in order to save precious lives.
He told newspersons that prohibition impo-sed by the NTR government had failed due to lack of commitment.
He said the Chief Minister must take suggestions from parties that were for prohibition and ban the trade.
He said there was no point in having more liquor shops to earn revenue, and spending the money on unproductive schemes. He said the Congress would support any move towards abolishing liquor trade....
