Mukesh Ambani, Paul Polman to attend global ad meet
KOCHI: A slew of global industry leaders including Mukesh Ambani and Unilever CEO Paul Polman are expected to be in Kochi on February 20-22, 2019 as part of 44th global summit of International Advertising Association. Kochi becomes the first city in the country to host such a summit. The last three IAA summits were held in Washington DC, Moscow and Beijing.
Qualcomm CEO Steven Mollenkopf, non-executive Chairman of Infosys and former Chairman of UIDAI Nandan Nilekani, Board Director of Soft-bank Group and CEO of Softbank Investment Advisors Rajeev Misra will also be present for the summit. Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are the other celebrities attending the event.
Nearly 40 speakers, including tennis greats Andre Agassi, Vijay Amritraj, Alibaba Gro-up Chief Marketing Officer Chris Tung, Facebook VP of global marketing solutions Carolyn Everson, co-founder of Skype Jonas Kjellberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of BBDO Worldwide Andrew Robertson and Executive Chairman & Creative Director of Ogilvy South Asia Piyush Pandey will embellish the occasion.
More than 2,000 delegates from nearly 25 countries are expected to participate. Social humanoid robot Sophia, a harbinger of the coming era of cyborgs, will be a star attraction.
